Who we are

Few things get me more excited than Groups Ministry in the local church.  For over 25 years, I have served in group ministry roles with students and adults of all ages.   I have served on ministry staff in smaller churches and larger churches and have experienced firsthand the unique ministry dynamics found in both settings, as well as every size church in between.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that I will always be at my very best as a follower of Jesus, a husband, a dad, a neighbor, and a pastor when I am doing life with others in authentic biblical community.   I believe the same is true for Groups Ministry Leaders.  To be at our very best, we need each other.  There is such great value in joining together with others who serve in Groups Ministry; to encourage one another, to dream big with one another, and to discover together the possibilities of what God can do in our midst. This is the heartbeat behind Group Ministry Network.  My desire with Group Ministry Network is to effectively equip Group Ministry Leaders to build healthy models of personal spiritual growth in the local church.  I believe this happens best through community (relationships), collaboration (ideas), and connection (resources).

Training and coaching Groups Ministry Leaders is something I’m very passionate about.  My hope in partnering with you and your church is for the long-term effect of making disciples.  I would like to introduce you to several reproducible strategies for building a comprehensive, healthy Groups Ministry model in your church.  These models have proven to be transformational for me in my own personal journey in Groups Ministry, and I believe the same can be true for you.
